What happens to a young girl who has been locked out by her family, or who flees to escape an abusive home situation? What becomes of teenage girls maturing out of foster care?
Unfortunately, very few girls of this age have the skills or resources to begin living independently. With a helping hand, however, these girls can finish high school, attend college, and build a foundation for lasting self-sufficiency. The Harbour's Transitional Living Program (TLP) provides supervised living for homeless girls ages 16-21 while they finish high school and make the transition to self-sufficiency. While in the program, girls work 10-20 hours per week and bank 65% of their earnings. The Transitional Living Program provides:
